In the work Time after Time, the notion of future is interpreted and defined as the results from the passage of time. Through the passage of time, changes are mostly involved, however, what is intended to focus in this work are those that remained unchanged - An unconscious process of ideology inheritance. Ideologies inherited through time, generations, and eventually form repeating patterns, mental processes that seem inevitable and inescapable. Taking the artist's personal upbringing as example, female's role, meaning, and functionality sit within the environment she experienced, if roughly broken into twofold, as a woman but also a mother, first to live on a life that is confined by their physical attribute and second thereby raise her children into this oppressive, poisonous gender structure, so the ideology to sustain itself. Part of the work is represented in sound form; the central feature of the sound piece is to transform one identifiable sound through time into the other identifiable sound: woman to child, cleaver chopping to iron striking, factory machine rotating to hospital device beeping. The effect was achieved by applying Fast Fourier transform onto each sound file, followed by morphing the frequency spectrum with algorithm. The main body of the work is the relationships that bridge over the form, content, topic, and naming. The work is not for creating sound form that's aesthetically amusing nor for articulating or investigating the social phenomenon, but taking them - form and content, as components for creating the 'parallel analogies', elements that are shared by each section from the work: temporarily, repeating patterns, time after time, the time after time.

Rewilding is a dark room that is filled with extremely dense fog, using the projector as the only source of light. The inspiration behind Rewilding is the prominent grain effect on B&W films. For this work, I am going to produce and collect past "failed" photos for the projected images. These photos could be too blurry, abstract or over-exposed for comprehension. There should not be a set of actual standards on judging whether one photo fails or succeeds in being a 'proper' photography work. These photos that we are not able to fully perceive are seen as an analogy to our passive receiving manner under the influence of online culture. People nowadays, we are oftentimes unaware of or even disregarding these images that are affecting our minds in the background of our consciousness, like a ghost hovering over our overloaded brain. Thus, in Rewilding, projecting images seems to be an action that releases light to the natural world and serves as an emancipation of our minds. (or say to free ourselves from chaos). Rewilding functions as a conscious processor of the excess of our everyday images, leaving us with more capacity for the never-ending receiving and creating of visual information.
